From Christmas parties and after-work drinks to family down time, there is a perfect outfit for every occasion. But, with so much choice and the chance to break away from our everyday looks, even the most-confident dressers can struggle with what to wear. With that in mind, we asked a few of our favourite bloggers to offer an inspiring hand, by picking out and styling their favourite looks for the festive season ahead.

Occasion: Christmas dining with friends
“I’m not really into full-on partywear as such – I feel a bit too done up – so I wanted something that felt special yet relaxed and still ‘me’. The pleated skirt is feminine, beautiful and dressy enough for an occasion, while the knit softens the look and has a subtle silver yarn woven through it, which gives just a hint of sparkle. I’d wear this to a Christmas party or dinner with friends, or even on Christmas day itself. I think it’s a versatile outfit and you could dress it up or down with different accessories. I’ve worn it here with low-key accessories for a daytime look, but you could also add statement earrings, strappy sandals and maybe a smaller clutch for a bit more glitz and glamour.”
Melissa Mould of Mediamarmalade
Occasion: From desk-to-dinner for Christmas drinks
“For me this look is the perfect representation of my personal style: a classic A-line cut leather skirt (a staple in any wardrobe), teamed with a slightly oversized jumper (with a touch of shimmer for the party season), and finished off with a fur gilet and suede boots. When I’m dressing for the party season, I’m more often than not searching for looks that I can easily transition from day to night with just simple updates or finishing touches, and this look delivers just that. The heels and slightly smokier make-up transition this from a chic office look to a post-work-Christmas-drinks ensemble seamlessly.”

Occassion: Relaxed dressing for Christmas day
“Our family Christmas tends to be a very relaxed affair with loved ones; it’s a time for us to unwind, relax and take a break from the London daily grind. These cashmere joggers are heavenly to wear casually, but can easily be dressed up with a pair of heels. The sports-luxe trend is perfect for this time of year, when we want to feel more relaxed, off-duty and holiday(ish) but yet remain stylish. With this in mind, I paired the cashmere joggers with this silk-trim hoodie and a sophisticated V-neck blouse for contrast. I’ve added a black leather jacket for extra edge.”
