Explore how our elegant embroidered clothing is made, plus our favourite pieces for Summer.
When it comes to Summer dressing, we love wearing broderie. This cutwork finish is a lovely way to introduce subtle pattern into your wardrobe, and we especially love the white-on-white stitch across many of our dresses, tops and cover-ups. This season, we looked to effortless Provencal dressing and vintage fabric swatches found on our travels to inspire our new embroideries.
How it’s done
All our broderies are made using the softest cotton as a base fabric. They are then embroidered with fine cotton yarns before garment washing to give an even softer finish and the lovely drape you will find on each item.
Our broderie pieces are developed using some of the finest embroidery techniques in India, and selected for their feminine yet contemporary look and feel.
This Broderie Anglaise Peplum Blouse is a key piece for us this season – developed using a vintage swatch, which inspired the broderie design. In pure cotton, it’s perfect for the season ahead teamed with chino shorts or jeans on cooler days. It has a gentle peplum shape for a flattering fit and finish.
Back by popular demand, our bestselling broderie midi dress from last Summer is now available in classic and elegant black. The updated cut-work design riffs on abstract florals, which is shown off to full-effect on the cap-sleeves, as they are left unlined.
