Make the most of your week together with our checklist of family friendly activities, from exploring outside to snuggling up at home.
A woodland adventure
Wrap up in cosy knitwear and find some nearby nature to explore together. Hunt out early Spring blooms to identify, collect supplies for arts and crafts, or treat your local ducks to tasty nibbles. Why not pick some seasonal fruit and veg to turn into a cooking project when you get home, too?
A bedroom refresh
Whether it’s adorable new bedding, or a move to a more grown-up bed, they’ll love getting involved in a fresh look for their room. Let them choose colours and themes, and take the time to go through unwanted clothes and toys together and make a donation to children who need them.
An indoor campground
It may not be warm outside yet, but don’t let that keep you from camping. Set up an indoor tent with sheets, cushions and super-soft throws – and don’t forget some fairy lights for a magical touch. Get everyone into their comfiest pyjamas and settle down for films, games, or half-term treats (as long as no one spills the popcorn).
A treasure hunt
A treasure hunt is a wonderful way to fill an empty afternoon and can be tailored to any age. Hide favourite toys, or treats, around the house, with clues and riddles leading to each one – a surprise new friend makes the perfect final discovery. Split into teams and race, or have each participant solve their own clue and put them together to find the answer.
