If you’ve added a new member to the family in 2017, the usual Christmas rituals will feel even more exciting this year. Hanging an extra stocking by the fireside, wrapping gifts for another little person and dressing them in gorgeous festive outfits will make this a special time to remember. Here are five ways to mark the occasion, ensuring baby (and you) are happy all-season long.
1. A moment in time
To mark this special period, our Dated Bear Toy and Dated Bear Comforter are snuggly options. With a silver-embroidered 2017 on the comforter, it’s a gift a little one will keep forever as a memento of their first Christmas. For babies due in the new year, we have a 2018 Dated Bear, too, so you can plan ahead for their arrival.
2. The night before Christmas
For the last sleep before the big day itself, settle precious little ones in our soft-as-can-be pure-cotton nightwear. With friendly characters and Christmassy patterns adorning our pyjamas, sleepsuits, sleeping bags and beyond, they’ll be fast asleep long before Santa arrives.
3. Playing dress-up
Christmas isn’t Christmas without some adorable outfits for the littlest members of the family. With Fair Isle jumpers, tulle tutus, sparkly tops and cosy knitted accessories, they’ll look every inch the Christmas elf, come 25th December (and picture perfect, too).
4. A time for new traditions
Making 2017 babies feel welcome members of the family couldn’t be easier with our characterful stockings and present sacks (which can be used year after year), Woodland Creatures Wrapping Paper and children’s decorations; it’ll soon feel as though you’ve never been without your newest arrival.
5. Something for the future
Using some beautiful stationery, such as our special-moments cards, capture your feelings as you approach your baby’s first Christmas in a hand-written message to them to open at a later time. Keep it safe, with a photo or two of them on the big day in a frame, then present it to them at a landmark birthday for a sentimental touch they’ll adore.
