Located in the heart of London, but away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist hotspots, Pimlico is the perfect place for a 24-hour getaway – and the inspiration behind our new clothing collection.
Home to some of the capital’s most recognisable architecture, just a stroll around this grand townhouse-lined neighbourhood is an attraction in itself. There’s more than 350 Grade-II listed buildings for you to take in.
Spend a sunny afternoon in Pimlico Gardens, making your way down towards the Thames, to be greeted by imposing views of the MI6 headquarters from across the water. It’s worth taking advantage of this quieter stretch of the river and enjoying a peaceful walk along its banks until you reach Tate Britain.
Free to enter, Tate Britain hosts the national collection of British art, which you could quite easily spend your entire 24 hours exploring. Current exhibitions include sculptor Henry Moore, Martin Boyce’s outdoor installation and the Turner Collection.
With so much to see, it’s likely you’ll have worked up quite an appetite. Try O’Sole Mio for traditional Italian feasts, or Cambridge Street Kitchen for a leisurely brunch. For drinks, The Orange Public House & Hotel is a perfect little slice of Pimlico living.
If you’re visiting on a Saturday, don’t miss Pimlico Road Farmers’ Market for edible flowers, interesting vegetables and seasonal tarts. Pick up some ready-to-eat options and enjoy as you watch the world go by.
Our new clothing collection takes its inspiration from Pimlico. Make sure you fit in with the locals and adopt a city wardrobe for the day. Go for sleek separates and focus on tailored staples and luxe fabrications, all styled with cosy knits to soften the look.
