If you find yourself with a free morning or evening over the coming weeks, don’t fill it with plans. Instead, treat it as a gift to be enjoyed. Self-preservation during the Summer months is vital; with so many busy events and a full schedule, it’s easy to feel like you’re on a treadmill of social engagements. Want to give your mind, body and soul recuperation? Follow these easy tips to reclaim your spare time.
1: Primp and polish
Taking good care of your skin on a daily basis, using quality products like those in our advanced-skincare collection, means you’re already doing a great job. While this pays off day-to-day, having a dedicated skincare session every so often not only does your skin good from head-to-toe, but feels wonderfully indulgent.
During your morning shower, treat yourself to some relaxing prep time and all-over TLC. Start by buffing your skin with our Spa Relax Super Glow Body Polish. Once out and dried off in one of our plush towels, slather Spa Relax Super Glow Body Oil over your body, paying special attention to dry areas, like elbows and ankles.
2: Bake and cook
With so much fresh, local produce available during Summer, take a little time out to experiment with new ways to cook and bake. Put some relaxing music on, flick through your cookbooks (or check out our recipe ideas) and whip up something you’ve been meaning to try for ages.
This time of year is perfect to pick up seasonal goodies, like asparagus, strawberries and Jersey royal new potatoes. Think bowls of beautiful salads, lightly steamed vegetables and fresh berries to make the most of Summer’s abundance – even better, look up where you can pick your own locally.
3: Make and craft
If you’ve been meaning to get that art project started, use your free time to indulge your creative side and feel those tensions melt away. A perfect me-time task, ordering your favourite snapshots of friends and family and putting them in stunning frames will enrich your home.
Opt for black and white prints for a stylish, vintage aesthetic and choose from our Fine Silver, Fine Wood or Floating Photo Frames. Better still, create a collage of special moments in one of our multiple-aperture frames.
For sketching, note-making and writing projects, why not stock up on some of our beautiful notebooks and pencils and keep them with you for whenever inspiration strikes?
